support

Renewals prepared ahead of time, quotes collated for comparison, claims paperwork chased and certificates issued — so the broker spends their day advising clients rather than assembling documents.

Renewal season is a document assembly problem

A broking business runs on a renewal calendar, and every renewal is the same sequence: pull the expiring policy, update the client's details and exposures, request terms from insurers, collate what comes back, and present a comparison the client can decide from.

Almost none of that is advice. It is document assembly against a deadline, and it is what stops brokers from spending time on the conversations that actually retain and grow the book.

A dedicated assistant runs the assembly. The broker keeps the advice, the placement decision and the client relationship — which is what they are licensed and paid for.

What comes off the broker's desk

  • Renewal preparation — Expiring policies pulled, client details and exposures updated, and the renewal pack assembled well ahead of the date rather than in the week before.
  • Quote collation — Terms requested from your insurer panel, followed up until they arrive, and tabulated like-for-like so the broker can compare rather than decode.
  • Claims administration — Claim forms prepared, supporting documents collected, claims lodged to insurer requirements and progress chased on a schedule.
  • Certificates of currency — Issued promptly from your system — the request that always arrives when the broker is with a client.
  • Policy documentation — Schedules checked against what was placed, endorsements processed, discrepancies queried before the client finds them.
  • Client data upkeep — Broking system records kept accurate — contacts, exposures, renewal dates, claims history.
  • Premium funding admin — Applications prepared and tracked, and settlement documentation chased.
  • Compliance file checks — Files checked for completeness against your licensee's requirements, with gaps chased while the detail is fresh.

The advice line

Insurance advice is regulated financial services work under an AFS licence. Preparation and administration travel; advice and placement do not.

  • Insurance adviceRecommending cover, sums insured or a policy is licensed advice and stays with your authorised representative. Never delegated, in any form.
  • Placement decisionsWhich insurer and which terms to place is the broker's decision.
  • Claims determinationsExplaining coverage or advising a client on a declined claim is advice.
  • Client-facing recommendationsChasing documents and confirming details is fine. Anything a client could act on as advice is not.

Questions

Frequently asked

Will our licensee allow offshore support?
Most do, but check the specifics first — outsourcing, data handling and system access rules vary by licensee, and insurer portal access has its own terms. We will work within whatever your agreement requires and would rather you confirm before hiring than after.
Do they understand insurance terminology?
We match people with insurance or broking experience where it exists, and there is a reasonable pool of it. Expect a few weeks on your particular classes of business and insurer panel — commercial and domestic broking are quite different, and someone fluent in one will need time on the other.
Can they contact insurers directly?
For chasing terms, following up claims and requesting documentation, usually yes, and it speeds things up considerably. Anything involving negotiation or a coverage discussion goes back to the broker.
How much does it cost?
From $14/hr + GST full-time — up to 70% less than a local hire, with no placement fee. Run your numbers →
How fast can we start?
Typically 14 days from your discovery call to day one. In the first week we source and screen against your brief; you get three matched profiles and interview whoever you like. Once you choose, we handle the offer, the contract, equipment and connectivity checks. Specialist roles can take longer and we would rather tell you three weeks and mean it than promise two.
Is there a minimum term?
Three months, then month to month. It's the same runway you'd give a new local hire to learn your systems, your clients and your standards — and the team members who get a fair run are the ones who stay for years. There are no exit penalties at any point, and if the issue is the person rather than the role, the first-week refund and free replacement cover that separately.
How do you handle confidentiality?
The same way you'd treat any remote team member. Every placement signs an NDA and a confidentiality clause before day one, and they work inside your systems — your email, your CRM, your file storage — so you control what they can see and can revoke access instantly. No client data is stored on our side.
