Strategists are spending their day in ad platforms

The strategy for a campaign takes an hour. Building it takes a day — ad sets, audiences, creative uploads, naming conventions, UTM parameters, conversion events, landing page assembly, then testing that any of it actually fires.

That day is being spent by the person who should be on the next client's strategy, and it is why agencies cap out on accounts per strategist rather than on demand.

A build specialist takes the construction. The strategist briefs and reviews; the client-facing thinking stays where the value is.

What they build

  • Campaign structure — Ad sets, audiences and budgets built to your brief and your naming convention, so reporting is coherent later.
  • Creative uploads — Every variant uploaded to the right placement with copy applied and previews checked.
  • Tracking configuration — UTMs, conversion events and pixel or tag setup configured and tested with a real submission — not assumed.
  • Landing page assembly — Pages built from your wireframe or brief, forms wired, mobile checked, and the whole path tested end to end.
  • Email and automation build — Sequences and flows built in your client's platform, with logic and timing tested before activation.
  • Pre-launch QA — A written checklist run before anything goes live — the step that catches the broken form and the untracked conversion.
  • Campaign hygiene — Naming, structure and taxonomy kept consistent across accounts, so cross-client reporting is possible.
  • Post-launch checks — Delivery and tracking verified in the first 24 hours, with anomalies flagged rather than discovered at month end.

What stays in the agency

Build travels. Strategy, spend and client relationships do not.

  • StrategyWhat the campaign should say, to whom, and why is what clients pay you for.
  • Ad spend authorisationBuilding a campaign is not authorising a budget. Spend approval and launch stay with you.
  • Optimisation decisionsThey can report and flag. Deciding to reallocate budget or kill an ad set is a strategist's call unless you delegate it explicitly.
  • Client results conversationsYours.

Questions

Frequently asked

Do they have real platform experience?
It is one of the deeper skill pools we have — a large number of US and Australian agencies have been building with offshore teams for years. We verify by asking what they built and how they tested it, not whether they hold a certification.
Who presses launch?
You, unless you explicitly decide otherwise. Build and QA are delegable; committing a client's money is not, and keeping that step costs you two minutes.
Can they optimise as well as build?
Some can, but treat it as a separate decision. Build-and-QA and optimisation are different skill sets, and a strategist who delegates optimisation without a clear framework usually regrets it.
How much does it cost?
From $14/hr + GST full-time — up to 70% less than a local hire, with no placement fee. Run your numbers →
Full-time, part-time or fewer hours?
Forty hours a week is our standard engagement and twenty is common. Below that we look at fifteen, ten or even five hours to get a role started, priced accordingly — a smaller engagement costs a little more per hour because the recruiting and management effort is the same. Plenty of clients begin at ten hours and grow the role once they see what comes off their desk.
Is there a minimum term?
Three months, then month to month. It's the same runway you'd give a new local hire to learn your systems, your clients and your standards — and the team members who get a fair run are the ones who stay for years. There are no exit penalties at any point, and if the issue is the person rather than the role, the first-week refund and free replacement cover that separately.
How do you handle confidentiality?
The same way you'd treat any remote team member. Every placement signs an NDA and a confidentiality clause before day one, and they work inside your systems — your email, your CRM, your file storage — so you control what they can see and can revoke access instantly. No client data is stored on our side.
